Terms of Service
This document sets out the Terms of Service, Age Restriction and Refund Policy that apply to all members and visitors of Social Sisters Society. By using our website or becoming a member, you agree to all three parts of this document.
Our Privacy Policy is a separate document. Please read it at socialsisterssociety.com/privacy-policy before using our services.
Part 1: Terms of Service
1.1 Acceptance of Terms
By accessing our website at socialsisterssociety.com, creating a member account, or purchasing a membership or event ticket, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and all other policies referenced in this document.
1.2 Who We Are
Social Sisters Society is a private limited company registered in Surat Thani, Thailand. We operate a women’s community offering memberships, events and activities for women aged 18 and over.
1.3 Eligibility
Membership is open to women aged 18 and over. By creating an account or purchasing a membership, you confirm that you meet this requirement. See Part 2 for our full Age Restriction policy.
1.4 Membership
We offer the following auto-recurring membership packages:
- Monthly — billed every 1 month
- 3-month — billed every 3 months
- 6-month — billed every 6 months
- 12-month — billed every 12 months
All memberships renew automatically until cancelled. Membership fees are non-refundable. See Part 3 for our full Refund Policy.
1.5 Events and Activities
Tickets are non-refundable except where SSS cancels or makes a significant change to the date, time or location. See Part 3 for our full Refund Policy.
1.6 Member Conduct
Members agree to treat all other members, staff and guests with respect. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate membership for conduct we consider harmful, abusive, discriminatory or incompatible with our values, without refund.
1.7 Intellectual Property
All content on our website — including our logo, images, text and event materials — is owned by or licensed to Social Sisters Society. You may not reproduce or use any content without our prior written permission.
1.8 Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by Thai law, Social Sisters Society is not liable for any indirect or consequential loss. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you have paid us in the preceding 12 months.
1.9 Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Thailand and subject to the jurisdiction of the Thai courts.
1.10 Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Where changes are material — meaning they affect your rights or obligations — we will notify you by email at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Continued use of our services after that notice period constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. For minor or clarificatory changes, we will update this page with a revised date and no advance notice period is required.
Part 2: Age Restriction
2.1 Minimum Age
Social Sisters Society is exclusively for women aged 18 and over. No person under 18 may create an account, purchase a membership or ticket, or attend SSS events.
2.2 Age Verification
By creating an account or making a purchase, you confirm you are at least 18. We reserve the right to request proof of age and may suspend accounts where this requirement is not met.
2.3 Responsibility
Members are responsible for ensuring no person under 18 uses their account or attends events on their behalf.
2.4 Alcohol at SSS Events
Under Thailand’s Alcoholic Beverage Control Act B.E. 2551, the minimum legal age for purchasing or consuming alcohol is 20 years. No member or guest under the age of 20 may purchase or consume alcohol at any SSS event. By signing up and becoming a member, you agree to comply with this requirement.
Part 3: Refund Policy
Effective: June 2026
We want every member to feel informed and confident about how their payments are handled. This policy sets out the rules that apply to membership fees and event or activity ticket purchases.
3.1 Membership Packages
Social Sisters Society offers the following auto-recurring membership packages:
- Monthly membership — billed every 1 month
- 3-month membership — billed every 3 months
- 6-month membership — billed every 6 months
- 12-month membership — billed every 12 months
All packages renew automatically at the end of each billing period until cancelled.
3.2 Membership Fees — No Refunds
All membership fees are non-refundable. Once a billing period has commenced, no refund will be issued for:
- A change of mind or personal circumstances
- Unused time remaining within a billing period after cancellation
- Failure to use membership benefits during the billing period
- Accidental or unintended renewals where reasonable notice was not given before the renewal date
3.3 Cancelling Your Membership
You may cancel your membership at any time to stop future automatic renewals. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period — you will retain full access until then. To cancel, contact us at socialsisterssocietythailand@gmail.com.
3.4 Event & Activity Tickets — General Rule
All event and activity ticket sales are final. We do not offer refunds for a change of mind, inability to attend, or failure to use a purchased ticket. We strongly encourage members to check their availability before purchasing tickets.
3.5 Event Tickets — Exceptions
If Social Sisters Society cancels an event or activity, or makes a significant change after tickets have been purchased, affected ticket holders may choose:
- A full refund of the ticket price paid; or
- A credit of equivalent value applied to a future SSS event or activity.
A significant change means a change to any of the following:
- Event date
- Event time (any change to the scheduled time)
- Event location (where the new location is more than 1 km from the original venue)
Minor updates — such as a speaker substitution, small schedule adjustments, or cosmetic changes to the programme — do not qualify as a significant change.
3.6 How to Request a Refund or Credit
Event cancellation: If SSS cancels an event, we will contact all ticket holders directly via the email address used at purchase to arrange a refund or credit.
Significant change: If you wish to request a refund or credit due to a significant change, please contact your branch manager before the day of the event.
3.7 Transfers
Membership is personal and non-transferable.
3.8 Changes to This Policy
Social Sisters Society reserves the right to update this Refund Policy at any time. Changes will be communicated to members in advance and published on our website.
